This item was recently removed from a 1930s tandem. It is in its original black finish which is good for its age but with areas of rust and pitting at the ends. They are mainly celluloid covered (in pretty good condition except for brake lever clamp marks) and because of this come complete with a tandem seat post clamp. To remove the clamp would entail either removing the celluloid or opening the clamp quite a way apart and I did not want to risk breaking it. They measure about 16.3/4" ctc of the ends and have about a 3.1/4" drop.
They can be used either way up in racer or roadster style.
